In the last four weeks, I’ve gotten up a bit early on Saturday mornings to shoot with my camera. It’s been extremely cold around here with single digit temperatures and even dropping in the -30′s with wind chill for the past month. But yesterday morning was perfect, the temps were in the 40′s and the skies were crisp and clear blue (I will miss that when it warms up). This was the first weekend where it was warm enough to actually just park and walk for a couple of hours with my camera. I was very pleased and I look forward to more of this fun in the upcoming months. Here are a couple of shots from the morning.

The skyline bordered with columns from the Capitol.
The above picture is one of the front doors from the the State Capitol building. It was a challenge to me on ‘artistic use of negative space” from a friend. Do you think I pulled it off? Here is a link to her photography blog: KMP.
I will be posting many of these images from today in the upcoming future posts.
