Relaxation Time

After a hard day’s work on designing my new ‘totally wicked’ blog design, my lovely bride decided to take a bubble bath. These bubbles were quite the bubbles, they just kept getting bigger, bigger and bigger. Yes, these pictures are suitable for all viewers.

How many other people out there have HTML & Adobe Lightroom books next to their tubs? Yes we are nerds and proud of it :).

Once again, thanks to my lovely bride for making a great place to show off my work to all of you. Now get back to work! :)

Trouble with his 90 year old Great Grandmother telling him stories. Have you noticed we get this look from Trouble quite often? :)

I thank once again L.B. for being such a good sport, it actually was quite cold out that morning.

I’ve received a lot of great compliments and a few questions on that last night picture post from last week. In these pictures in particular my settings were the following: ISO 400, 16mm focal length, f/6.3 and 1.0sec for shutter speed.

Last week, I shot cars racing down the freeway in the evening. The settings were: ISO 400, 30mm focal length, f/16 and 5sec for shutter speed. The key with any of these night shots is to use a decent tripod. For car shots in particular you need to use a very slow shutter speed as well. I’ve heard about some using shutter speeds as slow as 20 to 30 secs. I was pretty pleased with the results I was getting with 5 sec so I left it as is.

Do any of you have any night shooting secrets?

This is my first attempt of night shooting of cars. I played around a bit with the settings from image 1 to image 2. I kind of like the second one and you?
