This guy gave his family quite a scare with an early arrival, but now he is a beautiful, perfect baby boy. His due date is still 3 days away. It was a privilege to capture some of these early moments.

Today was a great day, I participated in Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photo Walk. What an amazing event with over 30,000 photographers around the world going on a photo walk. I can’t wait to see many other photographer’s pictures. The weather here was perfect, 70 degrees on a July day (basically unheard of). I also got to meet many other great photographers, professional and amateur alike. I even got the chance to meet a photographer that has really inspired me locally when I started my blog (Tom it was a pleasure to finally meet you).
These are the 10 pictures I have chosen from today’s walk. I would like to get your opinion on which pictures you think I should submit for the contest part of the walk.

I can’t seem to remember a 4th of July as wet and cold as it was this year. However, when it’s time for the sky to light up, we all seem to forget about everything else and all attention is on the sky. God Bless America!

This past weekend was a big event here in town, it was the Hy-Vee Triathlon. I wasn’t able to be there for the World Cup race on Saturday, but I was able to make the open triathlon on Sunday, which was still exciting. Next year I’ll make sure I get some pics of the swim leg (maybe I’ll even get a press pass :)).
The World Cup they had on Saturday gave away some serious cash for prize money with the winner of each men’s and women’s walked away with $200k and a new car. So here are a few pics from the day.
Does anyone know who this is in this picture? Hint: he scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl a few years back.
