These sessions are so fun! Randy is an award-winning photographer known for his gorgeous use of light, soft tones and beautiful locations. His signature sunset sessions often book many months in advance. Please take a moment to check out the artist’s portfolio so you can get an idea of the style of images we create and so you know what to expect in your own gallery: http://hisandhersphotography.com/portfolio/senior-portraits/
- Sessions are scheduled outdoors in local parks, trails, and natural settings, or in urbanscape locations with alleys, brick, city, street images.
- Unlimited outfit changes to show off your favorite styles. Each change takes some time away from shooting but 4-6 is a good general number for regular sessions, 6-8 for extended sessions.
Sessions begin ~2 hours before sunset. Extended sessions start ~3 hours prior to sunset.
- Our typical senior season runs May – October, but we’ll add sessions if mild weather allows.
- We’re known for our gorgeous locations, but if you have a meaningful location in mind – a family farm, beautiful local property, etc. let us know and we’d be happy to scout it to see if it would work for portraits.
Investment:
The Creative Fee is a retainer that reserves your date, covers the time and talent of the photographer, as well as fine-art editing and retouching of ~25 images in your gallery. It includes professional makeup to make you look photo-ready and feel pampered. Creative Fee does not include any prints or products.
$275 Creative Fee. $200 is due to the artist at the time of booking. ~$75 is due to the makeup artist the day of the session.
+$100 extended session – includes a second location (both urban and nature), longer session time, an opportunity for more outfit changes. It will allow for more diversity within your gallery.
Canvas art, albums, graduation announcements, gift prints, wall prints, boutique framing, and digital collections are all available. Prints start at $54. Collections begin at $790.
Your investment will depend on the keepsakes that make your heart sing! Perhaps a custom framed piece for your living room and a few small prints for bookshelves and end tables. Perhaps the hand-crafted leather album or folio collection will make your heart pitter patter! We’ll go over all the possibilities and find the perfect pieces for you and your home. Not too much, not too little… a just-right collection of artwork that will make you zing!, Marie-Kondo-style.
Because we only accept a limited number of commissions, we have a $600 minimum product commitment.
Viewing and Ordering:
About 3-4 weeks after your session, we invite you back to the studio to see your images. You will see your gallery of beautifully-edited images, as well as all the gorgeous products available to you. Your order will be placed at this Viewing & Ordering Session, and we will let you know when you can anticipate your products to arrive. Typical turn around time is about 7-10 business days for prints, longer for specialty items such as albums and frames.
Available Products:
Getting real, beautiful images of your loved ones on the wall is something that is important in our own home, and we know it’s important to our clients as well. We have scoured available vendors and discovered products that we’re proud to show in our studio, home, gift to love ones, and we believe you’ll love them as well. We offer swoon-worthy wall prints, gift prints, albums, canvases, fine-art folio collections, custom frames, and holiday cards. While digital collections are available, we are artists and our goal is to provide artwork; we can’t wait to show you all the gorgeous products!
We know sharing online is important to you, which is why we gift web-sharing images of the artwork you purchase as gift prints or wall portraits for you to share on social media. There is no charge for these web-sharing images – it’s just a courtesy we provide so your loved ones can see your favorite portraits. Copyrights of our artwork remain with the artist. Our artwork may not be scanned, photographed, screen captured, edited, cropped, manipulated, altered, sold, or used without our written permission. This is our livelihood; we appreciate your integrity.
Style and Wardrobe:
Wardrobe and style play an important part in setting the tone for your artwork. Because of this, we love to be part of styling and we will send you tips and guidelines for what to wear. We always recommend our clients shop their closets first, but we will help suggest outfits and ideas at retailers, too, if requested. Nature-cohesive color plays an important role in our style. Take a peek at the artist’s portfolio to see how he uses color to create images for you. Once you are on the calendar, we will work with you to help you style and prepare for your session. We want you to look and feel great!
