After our own child was born very prematurely and we spent months in the hospital and years helping him grow – we developed a kinship with families of those special kids. The ones whose stories take our breath away and fortify our belief in something bigger than ourselves.
Mya is one of those children. Her story is one of incredible survival, tenacity and resilient spirit. Her mom has this to say,
“Much of Mya’s history is unknown and we can only try to fill in the gaps. We will never know the family that gave her life, who she looks like. We will never know if her “first family” desired to keep her or if her abandonment was always planned. We do know that she was in heart failure when she was found at three months old in a park in China. We do know is that had she not gone through all she went through in the first three years of her life, she wouldn’t be our daughter today. We are absolutely amazed by her strength and resiliency.”
It is a huge honor to show off “our” Mya. We know you’ll love her as much as we do.
