As fall is almost here and we are nearing Iowa’s cold, flu & RSV season, please know we are committed to healthy kids and healthy babies here at His & Hers!
We are around newborns weekly. Newborn babies have not received vaccinations against most childhood illnesses and are susceptible if exposed. To keep our little loves safe, His & Hers asks that you reschedule for any of the following symptoms:
- fever >99* – esp presented with flushed cheeks and lethargy. Must be fever free 24 hrs.
- runny diapers, vomiting, diarrhea. Must be free of tummy symptoms 48 hrs.
- barking cough, sore throat, laryngitis. Must be symptom free for 48 hrs.
- if you’ve been exposed to chicken pox, RSV, hand, foot & mouth, whooping cough, flu – even if you aren’t presenting with symptoms, please let us know!
We know our families are busy and rescheduling can be inconvenient. Please do not mask symptoms with Benadryl or Tylenol and hope for the best. Let’s shoot when your little one is at his or her best and not a liability for other families’ precious babies. We reserve a limited number of rain day/ sick day sessions for these occasions.
This also applies to your Viewing & Ordering session. Kindly please don’t bring germs into our studio. RSV presents like a common cold in older children and adults but can be very dangerous to new babies.
Happy, healthy children translate to joy-filled images! We thank you for helping us protect Des Moines’ tiniest little loves.
xo!
