Hey seniors! Hard to believe that senior year will be coming to a close soon, but the next step in your graduation to-do list is here. It’s time to order your graduation announcements.
What are graduation announcements exactly?
Graduation Announcements are your opportunity to share with your loved ones that you did it! Your formative schooling is complete and you have succeeded. You’re off to do great things – and this announcement allows you to share both your good news and your favorite images from your senior portrait session. Win-win! Announcements are thick, 5×7″, two-sided, art-linen paper. Most template designs have a design and your info on the front and a full-5×7″ image on the back. Some designs, as shown, are two-sided. Those are indicated with a b-side. If no b-side is shown, the back will be a full 5×7″ image.
What kind of information is typically on an announcement?
Often an announcement also serves as an invitation to your commencement ceremony, graduation party, or open house, but sometimes it’s as simple as just announcing to your loved ones that you’re graduating. There is no wrong or right way to share your good news. But we can promise you this – sending out graduation announcements is often returned with congratulations in the form of checks, and this is a customary way for seniors to save up a little money that you’ll really appreciate after graduation.
How does it work?
We make this easy! Simply pick the template that you love and let us know the images from your session that you wish to use. If you have your session proofs, flip them over and you’ll find (after some random numbers/letters) your name followed by an image number, like this: first name_last name_sr_14.jpg. That’s the number(s) we’ll use to customize your announcement. You’ll email us the date and details we need on your announcement, and in about 3-4 business days, we’ll have a proof for you to look over and approve.
How many announcements come in a set?
Twenty-four. They come with envelopes as well, so all you’ll need to do is stuff, address and send. Let us know how many sets you’ll need to cover all your loved ones. i.e. 4 sets of announcements means 96 announcements, etc. We will get you a quote and an invoice and get started on your announcement as soon as we receive your check or call.
When do announcements arrive?
Announcements will begin to arrive at the studio the first week of April. Courtesy mailing is 4-weeks prior to any event, so plenty of time to mail out your announcements.
When is the deadline to order graduation announcements?
There is no deadline, but those of you placing late orders – please allow 3-4 days for customization and 7-10 business days for product to arrive. We recommend placing your order by Tues, March 15 to guarantee delivery to you by early April.

Design numbers are listed in red. Please click on the first image to open carousel and mouse or arrow through. Most designs are one-sided. In several examples, two color samples have been shown to demonstrate how colors are customized to coordinate with the colors in the images. 4 and 4b, 16 and 16b are examples of color customization we offer so your images always blend well with your announcement. Announcement style 8, 10, 11 are two-sided design templates. Custom one-of-a-kind design is available at rate of $40 per half-hour with a minimum of 1-hour design time.
