Oh, 2020. You are one for the history books.
Randy and I have consulted our resources, paced and discussed, and have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors while the coronavirus pandemic rages its way through the US. Our Iowa Governor has shut down most businesses as of March 17; it was the right call. This is a heartbreaking decision but, ultimately, it would be socially irresponsible to continue to have sessions if we could play even a tiny part in reducing the spread of infection.
We know many of you are facing difficult decisions with your own businesses, workplaces, and educations. We are concerned about small businesses and our local economy. We’re eager to support your businesses as soon as this is over. Business owners are getting backlash either way – customers are upset when they close and upset if they don’t close soon enough. We will weather this together! Our sessions will resume the moment it seems prudent to do so.
Sessions are available for summer and fall. We’re still booking and planning those. I know it seems far away, but we will all be working at the office, shopping, visiting, shaking hands, eating at restaurants again – and Randy and I will be back at it, capturing the moments and memories with your families. Thank you for trusting us with your memories!
If you’re reading this – it means you are someone we care about. Take care of yourselves,
Darcy

Good morning. I have an interesting question for you. I am trying to reproduce a photo of my parents from over 30years ago. It has a copyright that is His & Hers Studio (chicago). In order to get a copy I have to research that the photography studio is no longer in business. I know they are no longer in IL. I would appreciate it if you can let me know if there is any connection to the one in IL. Thank You!

We would have been very small at that time – so there’s no connection. Good luck!
